How To Tell If Your Little One Has Colic

MAM Anti- Colic

Determining if your child has colic can sometimes be a tricky thing to do.  Most colicky babies develop signs of colic within the first 3 weeks after they are born but this may range depending on the child.    Typically colic is characterized by fits of crying in the evening or middle of the night with no obvious cause.   In an article posted on Babycenter.com they also note “If your baby has colic, his belly may look enlarged. You may notice that he alternately extends or pulls up his legs and passes gas as he cries.”

Parents with children who are experiencing this or have experienced this know how frustrating this can be.  While this may seem to go on for what feels like forever, typically colic goes away around 3 months of age.

Visit BabyCenter.com for more information and tips on Colic.

our pediatrician suggested probiotics for my son's colic and it made a world of difference in just a few days.

I don't believe there is a such thing as "colic". If your child is gassy, he's gassy. Not colicy. Babies don't cry for no reason, there is something going on and it's up to us to figure out what is wrong with baby. Not to just brush it off as something unexplainable and call it colic.

My little guy gets awful gas where he'll scream for hours and there's nothing you can do, but that colic calm stuff definitely helps a lot. He will be 3 months tomorrow so hopefully it starts getting better soon!!
